The Gospel Commission
“Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature,” is the commission Jesus gave to the members of His church. His confidence that they would accomplish the task assigned them, and not disappoint Him, He expressed when, in answer to the inquiry, “What shall be the sign of thy coming, and of the end of the world?” He said, “This gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations; and then shall the end come.”PH120 3.1
The aim of the church must continue to be, in all her efforts in the home field, to carry the gospel to all the world. “God's people have a mighty work before them, a work that must continually rise to greater prominence. Our efforts in missionary lines must become far more extensive. A more decided work than has been done must be done prior to the second appearing of our Lord Jesus Christ. God's people are not to cease their labors until they shall encircle the world.”—Testimonies for the Church 6:23-24.PH120 3.2
