In 1866, he taught the Sabbath truth and the third angel’s message in Tramelan, Switzerland, which effort resulted in bringing out a company of Sabbath-keepers. Soon after, he left them to teach the message in Hungary. He said nothing to the company in Tramelan of our work in America, but Albert Vuilleumier, one of the number, could read English. He, by chance, saw a copy of the Advent Review. Through this means a correspondence between the two countries was begun. GSAM 404.1
