In the year 1880, colporteurs began work in Rheinish-Prussia, Würtemberg, Baden, and Alsace. So successful were the eight or ten energetic, faithful workers that in one year the following number of books were sold: Life of Christ, 3,000; From Eden to Eden, 2,000; and 12,000 pamphlets.
