Dear Brother Burden,—
I write you a few lines. One thing I wish you to do. I wish you not to be very anxious to get this property in the hands or power of the conference to manage, but let parties manage the holding of this property. I learn that __________ has proposed to sell some of the land to help pay the standing debt. Tell me how the matter is now. Can you obtain a loan of money to raise the rest of the five thousand dollars? If not, we must stir about to see if we can not obtain the means. I have sent you the letter that I have written; please tell me what is necessary for me to do. We must be sure and have every payment made in time, and not let it go out of our hands. 20LtMs, Lt 161a, 1905, par. 1
I just thought to write you a few lines to assure you that not one foot of that land is to be sold to raise money. We will hire money at the bank rather than this shall be done. 20LtMs, Lt 161a, 1905, par. 2
