Foreword 5TC 6

Picture: Foreword 5TC 6.1

What is happening to our world today? Storms, earthquakes, and tsunamis devastate large areas, causing immense death, injury, property loss, and ongoing suffering. War and conflict, both between nations and within ideologies and ethnic groups, seem increasingly common and unsolvable. Economic setbacks, even in the wealthiest nations, threaten global security. A decline in morality has led to rising crime and social deterioration. Nations world-wide are now polarized, their populations divided and angry with their leaders, protesting government agendas. People are ready to go to war against those with differing mindsets. Threats and rumors of wars are commonplace. In many regions, citizens are at war with each other or neighboring countries. Secularization, humanism, and a rebellious spirit against societal norms are widespread. Are we on the verge of global upheaval and societal collapse? Despite difficult days ahead, The Victory points us to a glorious future, grander than we can ever imagine. 5TC 6.2

Throughout history Satan has mischaracterized God's love. Since Adam and Eve first sinned, Satan has instigated trouble for humanity, blaming God for all our troubles and portraying Him as aloof, uncaring, and unloving. The Conflict Between Christ and Satan was written by Ellen G. White in five powerful episodes. From the origin of sin in heaven, to Christ's final rescue of His faithful followers, The Conflict series chronicles important events in Bible history. The last dramatic episode, The Victory, is based on White's famous book The Great Controversy. Using contemporary language and featuring original artwork for each chapter, The Victory offers a visual and narrative experience of White's historical and visionary insights into the conflict between good and evil. 5TC 6.3

The Victory emphasizes the Bible's authority while revealing the underlying cause of the world's evils. It chronicles events from the fall of Jerusalem to the rise of Rome's papal domination during the Dark Ages and the resulting Protestant Reformation. It explains society's final downfall leading to Christ's second coming, a rescue mission to save Earth. The book details what happens during the Millennium and showcases God's final victory over Satan, the eradication of sin, and the eternal establishment of His kingdom on the New Earth. It concludes the cosmic war between Christ and Satan, vindicating God's love and character through the ultimate Victor of The Conflict. 5TC 7.1
