Mindfulness also aligns with Christian teachings on gratitude. By cultivating an awareness of the blessings in our life, we can foster a sense of appreciation and contentment. This leads us to a happier and more fulfilling existence. The Bible has many verses urging us to focus on what we are grateful for, such as, "Oh give thanks to the Lord, for he is good" (Psalms 107:1). CI 87.2

When we are faced with challenges, it can be easy to focus on the negative. However, if we can cultivate gratitude, thankfulness through our mindfulness, we can find ways to appreciate good even in the midst of hardship.[90]https://stewardship.adventist.org/an-attitude-of-gratitude CI 87.3
