Picture: Counsel #10 — Get Out in Nature! CMH 12.1
A simple, powerful solution to dealing with stress may be just outside your door: God’s creation. Spending time in nature can truly renew your mind, body, and spirit. Fresh air, sunshine, and the beauties of the natural world are heaven’s gifts that help us breathe deeply and let go of our worries. When we step away from tense situations and into nature, we can find a new kind of "re-creation." The Bible tells us that even the birds and animals can teach us about God’s power and presence.[12] https://adventistreview.org/news/nature-is-key-to-helping-us-disconnect-presenter-says/ CMH 12.2
Even though sin has brought trouble to our world, God wants us to find joy and delight in what He’s made for us. Nature is a beautiful reminder of His goodness and a peaceful place to connect with Him. His hand is over every living thing, including you! CMH 12.3
“But now ask the beasts, and they will teach you; and the birds of the air, and they will tell you; or speak to the earth, and it will teach you; and the fish of the sea will explain to you. Who among all these does not know that the hand of the Lord has done this, in whose hand is the life of every living thing, and the breath of all mankind?” Job 12:7-10 NKJV CMH 12.4
“Although sin has cast its shadow over the earth, God wants His children to find delight in the works of His hands.” Ellen White in The Ministry of Health and Healing, p. 144 CMH 12.5
