It is God’s grace alone that makes us right with God. CSL 133.2
God waits in eagerness for us to ask Him to renew our hearts. He then empowers our obedience so it is not just an outward compliance but stems from our love for Him. As the Creator restores His image in us, His new-covenant promise is fulfilled in our lives (see Hebrews 10:16). CSL 133.3
