Satan is a stalking predator, constantly trying to pull you back into old mistakes, old sinful patterns. But if you mess up, Jesus is ready to hear your confession, forgive you, and give you strength against Satan’s future temptations. Everyone makes mistakes, but as God’s Spirit makes your sins plain, if you humbly confess them, He will restore you! CSL 22.2
For every person who truly repents, God promises, "I have blotted out, as a thick cloud, your transgressions, and, as a cloud, your sins: return unto me; for I have redeemed you."[23]Isaiah 44:22 Your heartfelt confession reaches a God of infinite compassion. Reflect: How does the idea that "we are not cast off, not forsaken and rejected of God" when we "bow down and weep at the feet of Jesus because of our shortcomings" encourage you to keep trying and not give up? CSL 22.6
