Counsel #22 — Holy Boldness CSL 32

Picture: Counsel #22 — Holy Boldness CSL 32.1

Have you ever wanted to share Jesus and the difference He’s made in your life? Has God ever impressed your heart to speak out for Him, yet you felt overwhelmed or afraid? When our identity is in Christ, we can ask for holy boldness, and He will give it. In our old nature, speaking before royalty—or even in front of a church—might have intimidated us. But when Christ lives in us, we’re empowered with holy boldness to come with confidence and freedom—even into the presence of God Himself! CSL 32.2

Christ living in us changes everything. He gives us the courage and confidence to share His love and truth with others. Because we have important roles in God’s work, it’s vital to remember that our power to impact lives comes directly from our connection with God. To fulfill these roles, we must spend time with Him in humble prayer and reverent confidence. In doing so, He gives us the strength and ability to carry out His plans. CSL 32.3

Today, more than ever, we’re called to speak God’s truth—not in our strength, but with His holy boldness, always wrapped in His character of love.[41] https://www.ministrymagazine.org/archive/2004/07/wholly-boldness-preaching-with-the-courage-of-paul.html CSL 32.4

“According to the eternal purpose which He accomplished in Christ Jesus our Lord, in whom we have boldness and access with confidence through faith in Him.” Ephesians 3:11, 12 NKJV CSL 32.5

“Today we need to speak the truth with holy boldness.” Ellen White in 2 Selected Messages , p. 52 CSL 32.6

Reflect: In your time spent with God, how can you intentionally cultivate "reverent confidence" to act on the plans He has for your life? CSL 32.7
