A lot of people drink soda due to the energy boost it provides, but research shows that the initial “sugar rush” is quickly followed by an energy crash, leaving you more fatigued than before. If you’re trying to lose weight or struggle with managing your sugar levels, drinking soda can increase the risks of obesity and long-term diabetes. Similarly, if you don’t like going to the dentist and aren’t a fan of doctors, staying away from sodas can ensure you keep those visits to a minimum, as soda can lead to tooth decay and heart disease. Additionally, drinking caffeinated soda contributes to anxiety and mood disorders, making it harder to focus on tasks. As children of God, we should fill our bodies with substances that refresh us, leaving us ready to carry out God’s purpose.[172] https://www.healthline.com/nutrition/13-ways-sugary-soda-is-bad-for-you CWe 136.3
