Resilience is seen and exemplified in the Bible through numerous individuals who faced trials yet endured. Whenever you’re discouraged or feel like the battle you’re facing is too big to defeat, think back on the strength God provided for those who came before you. CWe 76.2

One of the most memorable and powerful examples was Job, a man who suffered immense loss and heartache. Job lost everything, but he remained faithful to God because he believed that God would work it all out for his good.[90]Romans 8:28 Joseph, an innocent young boy raised believing in God, was betrayed by his brothers and sold into slavery. He went through enormous trials and landed in prison. Yet, through the darkest nights in that cell, he too believed God would deliver him in His perfect timing. Even Paul remained committed to spreading God’s word while being imprisoned, beaten, and persecuted. Throughout the trials these people faced, they all had one thing in common — a “nevertheless” mindset. God desires for you to have a “nevertheless” type of resilience as well, capable of enduring rejection, suffering, and cultural isolation for a greater cause — His glory![91] https://www.pastortedwilson.org/was-job-a-real-person/ CWe 76.3

“Consider it pure joy, my brothers and sisters, whenever you face trials of many kinds…” James 1:2 NIV CWe 76.4

“Those who live during the last days of this earth’s history will know what it means to be persecuted for the truth’s sake.” Ellen White in Last Day Events , p. 145 CWe 76.5
