Picture: Counsel #16 — Input Shapes Output CWe 105.1
What you feed your thoughts not only shapes your actions and mindset, but it also paves the way for the path your life will follow. Just as the body reflects the quality of its nourishment, the mind mirrors the ideas, images, and beliefs it consumes. CWe 105.2
Positive, constructive input leads to growth, resilience, and peace, while harmful influences lead to anxiety, self-doubt, and destructive thoughts and behaviors. The Bible emphasizes the importance of guarding your mind: “Whatever is true, noble, right, pure, lovely, admirable—think about such things.”[126]Philippians 4:8 Consuming uplifting content through scripture, encouraging conversations, or wholesome media will directly align your thoughts with truth and purpose, giving you the confidence and assurance you need to carry out God’s will for your life. Conversely, dwelling on negativity, comparisons, envy, anger, or fear will lead to poor decisions, so it’s important to be mindful of what you read, watch, and listen to. Surround yourself with people who inspire and challenge you to grow and remember that by intentionally feeding your mind with biblical goodness and wisdom, you will be walking with Jesus, becoming more and more like Him every day.[127]https://www.croydonadventist.org/its-all-in-the-mind-part-1/ CWe 105.3
