Cultivating an intellectual appetite as a Christian involves developing a desire to learn more about God, His Word, and the sinful state of this world. The hunger for this knowledge will strengthen your faith and equip you to better share the gospel confidently. CWe 116.2

One way to cultivate this appetite is by committing to regular Bible study, not just skimming Scripture but deeply engaging with the Word and studying it. Use study guides or resources like commentaries to explore the historical and cultural context of biblical texts and write personal notes on the side pages to make connections. Read books by respected Christian authors or theologians to expand your understanding of faith and deepen your intellectual engagement. Additionally, participating in small group discussions or attending seminars can inform, challenge and refine your thinking to learn about topics such as Jesus’ work in heaven’s sanctuary, young-earth creationism (YEC), Satan’s influence in the entertainment industry, lifestyle issues such as sex before marriage, or healthy nutritional choices. Ultimately, the goal is to gain an intellectual appetite that glorifies God by consistently pursuing His wisdom, knowledge, and understanding.[149] https://adventist.org/beliefs/bible/understanding/7-ways-prepare-study CWe 116.3
