All things come from God; therefore, our money is not our own. It is given to us “in trust.” Even after we have returned the tithe, which is rightfully His, God wishes us to carefully manage our remaining monies, so that our money will be a blessing. JTLD 351.2

While it is essential to care for the needy members in our churches and in our communities, stewardship responsibility includes caring for the needs of our own family. JTLD 351.3
