Live Authentically, Courageously, and Transparently — June 25 [Description]Overview of Luke 12:1-12:Jesus speaks to a massive crowd, warning His disciples first to beware of the “yeast” (hypocrisy) of the Pharisees—pretending to be godly outwardly while hiding sin inwardly. He makes it clear that nothing hidden will stay secret; all will be revealed in time. He urges them not to fear people, who can only harm the body, but to fear God, who has authority over both life and eternity. He reassures them of God’s deep care—if sparrows are known and valued by God, how much more are they? Jesus then calls for bold allegiance to Him: If you acknowledge Him publicly, He’ll acknowledge you before God’s angels. But denying Him has eternal consequences. Finally, Jesus encourages them: Don’t worry about what to say when you’re put on the spot for your faith. The Holy Spirit will give you the words. This passage is a powerful reminder to live authentically, courageously, and transparently—grounded in a reverent fear of God and trust in His Spirit. 365D 176
