As already observed, around the turn of the century a rising tide of interest in Bible prophecy became sharply noticeable on both sides of the Atlantic. In the Old World it was particularly active in Great Britain. And the influence of these affirmative British commentaries on prophecy was distinctly felt in this country, because of numerous American reprints, which were widely circulated over here.
