God’s providences in the history of our church can well form a very valuable part of the story presentations made to our boys and girls and our young men and young women. Emphasis was given to this in the 1961 North American Leadership Training Camp conducted at Lone Star Camp, Athens, Texas. To provide at the camp permanent working materials to accompany the oral presentation, a copy of that which appears here was placed in the hands of each MV Secretary present. CFJS 4.1
Still with a good degree of freshness, these materials are now made available to our church schools. They should aid the teacher in making our own denominational history live. Stories which are new are presented in full. The source of each story is noted. Reference is given to other stories equally interesting and important as found in readily available sources. CFJS 4.2
The storyteller is urged to make use of the visual objects suggested in connection with some of the stories. This is a time-tested procedure which is well worth while. CFJS 4.3
It is with satisfaction that we contemplate the widening influence of these stories as they are told and retold by the campfire and in the school room. CFJS 4.4
