Persons wishing to transfer their membership from one church to another, should make application for letters to the clerk of the church of which they are members, giving the address of the clerk of the church with which they wish to unite. Letters of commendation are passed from one church to another, but do not go into the hands of the individual making the application. MBC94 11.4
