    John 14

    1 “Don’t let your hearts be troubled. Believe a14:1 Or You believe in God, believe also in me.ISV — John 14:1

    2 There are many rooms in my Father’s house. If there weren’t, I wouldn’t have told you that I am going away to prepare a place for you, would I?ISV — John 14:2

    3 And since b14:3 Or, And if, as is the case, I’m going away to prepare a place for you, I’ll come back again and welcome you into my presence, so that you may be where I am.ISV — John 14:3

    4 You know where I am going, and you know the way.”ISV — John 14:4

    5 Thomas asked him, “Lord, we don’t know where you are going, so how can we know the way?”ISV — John 14:5

    6 Jesus told him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.ISV — John 14:6

    19 “In a little while the world will no longer see me, but you will see me. Because I live, you will live also.ISV — John 14:19

    21 The person who has my commandments and keeps them is the one who loves me. The one who loves me will be loved by my Father, and I, too, will love him and reveal myself to him.”ISV — John 14:21

    22 Judas (not Iscariot) asked him, “Lord, how is it that you are going to reveal yourself to us and not to the world?”ISV — John 14:22

    23 Jesus answered him, “If anyone loves me, he will keep my word. Then my Father will love him, and we will go to him and make our home within him.ISV — John 14:23

    24 The one who doesn’t love me doesn’t keep my words. The words that you’re hearing me say are not mine, but come from the Father who sent me.ISV — John 14:24

    25 “I have told you this while I am still with you.ISV — John 14:25

    26 But the Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, will teach you all things and remind you of everything that I have told you.ISV — John 14:26

    27 I’m leaving you at peace. I’m giving you my own peace. I’m not giving it to you as the world gives. So don’t let your hearts be troubled, and don’t be afraid.ISV — John 14:27

    28 You have heard me tell you, ‘I’m going away, but I’m coming back to you.’ If you loved me, you would rejoice that I’m going to the Father, because the Father is greater than I am.ISV — John 14:28

    29 I’ve told you this now, before I leave, so that when I do leave, you will believe.ISV — John 14:29
