The angels who left heaven to come to earth sadly took their beautiful crowns from their heads. These angels could not wear their crowns while Jesus suffered and wore a crown of thorns. SRme 1.932
Satan and his angels were busy in the judgment hall destroying human feeling and sympathy. The influence of these wicked angels seemed to poison the air. Satan and his angels encouraged the chief priests and elders to insult and hurt Jesus in every cruel way possible. Satan hoped that insults and violence would cause Jesus to complain. Satan hoped Jesus would use His [Jesus'] divine power to free Himself from the people who had captured Him. If Jesus did freed Himself, the plan of salvation would fail. SRme 1.933
