PETER'S DENIAL SRme 1

Jesus, who was some distance away, turned and looked at Peter sadly. Peter remembered the words Jesus had spoken to him earlier that evening. Peter also remembered his answer, "'I will never leave You, even though all the rest do!'" (Matt. 26:33). SRme 1.936

Peter had cursed and said he did not know Jesus. But the look Jesus gave Peter melted his heart and saved him. Peter was sorry for his great sin. He wept bitterly. Peter became a truly changed man and was prepared to strengthen other people. SRme 1.937
