No matter how much preaching you hear about the blessings and miracles of God, the key to unlocking that favor is by seeking God daily. This takes intention, discipline, and daily surrender — things that aren’t easy. CR 185.2
When considering the outcome of many marriages, the main difference in their success rates comes down to their foundation. If a couple doesn’t know God and is led by the flesh — their feelings, emotions, and desires — the survival rate of that marriage decreases substantially. On the other hand, couples who pray together regularly often report a deeper sense of unity; Prayer softens the heart and shifts perspectives. Regular time in Scripture, individually and together, will form the spiritual language of the relationship. As you continue to search the scriptures and yearn to know God for yourself, His Word will become the guiding voice in how you handle conflict, make decisions, raise children, and extend grace.
