Surprisingly enough, seeds are not just for the birds of the sky, but they were also created for us to enjoy as well. In the book of Genesis, within the six days of creation, God provided seeds as food, packed with essential nutrients for both animals and humans to thrive. CWe 134.2
Seeds, or “tiny nutrient-packed powerhouses,” have many health benefits that can aid digestion, improve heart health, and increase energy levels. For example, chia seeds are extremely rich in fiber and Omega-3s, which directly improve brain health. Additionally, flaxseeds contain lignans, a group of plant compounds that have anti-inflammatory, antioxidant, and estrogenic benefits. Even pumpkin seeds are high in magnesium, supporting muscle growth and nerve functioning. In terms of consumption, you can add seeds to your oatmeal, smoothies, and salads, or even bake them into banana bread! Just as a seed must first be planted and consistently nurtured to grow, so we must continually nourish our bodies with what God gifted all humanity with — healthy sources of food.[170] https://www.umassmed.edu/nutrition/blog/blog-posts/2021/7/super-seeds-chia--flaxseed/ CWe 134.3
