Counsel #20 — Trust and Do good! CWe 22

Picture: Counsel #20 — Trust and Do good! CWe 22.1

Trusting in Jesus doesn’t mean you’ll have life all figured out, but it means having peace knowing He has your back—you’re safe with Him. Instead of depending on your own skills or on what you own to solve life’s problems—all of which can be lost in a moment—turn your challenges over to God, trust Him. That doesn’t mean you’ll sit back and do nothing; it means you’ll actively reflect your trust in Him by doing good and being there for others with intentionality. Think of it like this: if Jesus were here, what would He do right now? (Tip: read the gospels to find out what He DID do when He was here on earth). CWe 22.2

When you focus on helping people with acts of genuine care, it changes your perspective. You’re less caught up in your own anxieties and more grounded in Someone greater. The act of serving becomes a source of strength, a reminder that you’re not alone, and that there’s a purpose beyond your own worries—sharing hope in Jesus in a world that’s anxious, hopeless, and afraid.[22] https://stewardship.adventist.org/page216 CWe 22.3

“Trust in the Lord, and do good; dwell in the land, and feed on His faithfulness.” Psalms 37:3 NKJV CWe 22.4

“We must have less trust in what we ourselves can do, and more trust in what the Lord can do for and through us.” Ellen White in With God at Dawn, p. 98 CWe 22.5

Reflect: Today, how will you share hope and peace found in Jesus with those who are experiencing anxiety, hopelessness, and fear? CWe 22.6
