God created each of us with appetites to enjoy food in measurable amounts. It was never God’s intention for us to overeat, or make food an idol — instead, He desires for us to steward our food intake responsibly. CWe 107.2

The Gospels highlight how much Jesus valued food! He once said, "The Son of Man came eating and drinking."[129]Matthew 11:19 His first miracle? Turning water into wine at a wedding.[130]John 2:1-11 He also fed thousands by multiplying bread—twice![131]Matthew 14:13-21; Matthew 15:32-39 Jesus often shared meals with people, no matter their status.[132]Mark 2:13-17; Luke 14:1 Many of His teachings used food imagery, like seeds, yeast, feasts, and even a fattened calf, and after His resurrection, one of the first things He asked the disciples was, "Do you have anything to eat?"[133]Luke 24:41 It’s no wonder He chose a meal to help us remember Him: the breaking of bread and drinking of wine.[134]Matthew 26:26-29 Food was central to God’s ministry, and we can also use our access to food to bless others who are without it.[135] https://www.seventhdayadventistdiet.com/the-seventh-day-adventist-diet-food-beliefs/ CWe 107.3
