Question 99: What was Ellen White’s favorite hymn? (“Favorite Hymn Question”)

I was wondering whether you know if there was a hymn that Ellen White especially liked.101Q 216.1

According to Ella White Robinson, one of Mrs. White’s older grandchildren who knew her well, Mrs. White declared her favorite hymn to be “Jesus, Lover of My Soul.” Beyond that, she had many hymns that she loved, not all of which are well known today. Among these are “There Is Sunlight on the Hilltop,” “O Worship the King,” “Holy, Holy, Holy,” “All Hail the Power of Jesus’ Name,” “Just As I Am,” “I Will Follow Thee, My Savior,” “Is My Name Written There?” “I’m a Pilgrim,” “I Will Never, Never Leave Thee,” “We Speak of the Realms of the Blest,” and “There Are Angels Hov’ring Round.” In the White home, as the boys were growing up, each morning when they gathered for worship they sang, “Lord, in the Morning,” and in the evening they sang, “Sweet Hour of Prayer.”101Q 216.2
