But other fell into good ground, and brought forth fruit, some an hundredfold, some sixtyfold, some thirtyfold. Mark 4:8Mark 4:8, Luke 8:8Luke 8:8KJRV — Matthew 13:8

Who hath ears (Matthew 11:15; Matthew 13:43; Mark 4:9; Mark 4:23; Mark 7:16; Luke 8:8; Revelation 2:7; Revelation 2:11; Revelation 2:17; Revelation 2:29; Revelation 3:6; Revelation 3:13; Revelation 3:22; Revelation 13:9) to hear, let him hear.KJRV — Matthew 13:9

And the disciples came, and said unto him, Why speakest thou unto them in parables? Mark 4:10Mark 4:10, Luke 8:9Luke 8:9KJRV — Matthew 13:10

He answered and said unto them, Because it is given (Matthew 11:25; Matthew 16:17; Mark 4:11; Luke 8:10; 1 Corinthians 2:10; Colossians 1:26; 1 John 2:27) unto you to know the mysteries of the kingdom of heaven, but to them it is not given.KJRV — Matthew 13:11

For whosoever hath, to him shall be given, and he shall have more abundance: but whosoever hath not, from him shall be taken away even that he hath. Mark 4:25Mark 4:25 , Luke 8:18Luke 8:18, Luke 19:26Luke 19:26KJRV — Matthew 13:12

Therefore speak I to them in parables: because they seeing see not; and hearing they hear not, neither do they understand.KJRV — Matthew 13:13

And in them is fulfilled the prophecy of Esaias, which saith, By hearing ye shall hear, and shall not understand; and seeing ye shall see, and shall not perceive:Isaiah 6:9 Isa 6:9Isaiah 6:9 , Ezek 12:2Ezekiel 12:2 , Luke 8:10Luke 8:10 , John 12:40John 12:40 , Acts 28:26Acts 28:26, Romans 11:8Romans 11:8KJRV — Matthew 13:14

For this people's heart is waxed gross, and their ears are dull of hearing, and their eyes they have closed; lest at any time they should see with their eyes and hear with their ears, and should understand with their heart, and should be converted, and I should heal them.Isaiah 6:10 Isa 6:10Isaiah 6:10 , Mark 4:12Mark 4:12 , Acts 28:27Acts 28:27, Heb 5:11Hebrews 5:11KJRV — Matthew 13:15

But blessed (Matthew 16:17; Luke 10:23; John 20:29) are your eyes, for they see: and your ears, for they hear.KJRV — Matthew 13:16

For verily I say unto you, That many prophets and righteous men have desired (Hebrews 11:13; 1 Peter 1:10) to see those things which ye see, and have not seen them; and to hear those things which ye hear, and have not heard them.KJRV — Matthew 13:17

Hear (Mark 4:14; Luke 8:11) ye therefore the parable of the sower.KJRV — Matthew 13:18

When any one heareth the word of the kingdom, and understandeth it not, then cometh the wicked one, (Matthew 5:37; Matthew 6:13; Matthew 13:38; John 17:15; 2 Thessalonians 3:3; 1 John 2:13; 1 John 3:12; 1 John 5:18) and catcheth away that which was sown in his heart. This is he which received seed by the way side.KJRV — Matthew 13:19

But he that received the seed into stony places, the same is he that heareth the word, and anon with joy (Isaiah 58:2; John 5:35) receiveth it;KJRV — Matthew 13:20

Yet hath he not root in himself, but dureth for a while: for when tribulation or persecution ariseth because of the word, by and by he is offended.KJRV — Matthew 13:21

He also that received seed among the thorns is he that heareth the word; and the care of this world, and the deceitfulness of riches, (Matthew 19:23; Mark 10:23; Luke 18:24; 2 Timothy 4:10) choke the word, and he becometh unfruitful.KJRV — Matthew 13:22

But he that received seed into the good ground is he that heareth the word, and understandeth it; which also beareth fruit, and bringeth forth, some an hundredfold, some sixty, some thirty.KJRV — Matthew 13:23

Another parable put he forth unto them, saying, The kingdom of heaven is likened unto a man which sowed good seed in his field:KJRV — Matthew 13:24

But while men slept, his enemy (Luke 10:19; 1 Peter 5:8) came and sowed tares among the wheat, and went his way.KJRV — Matthew 13:25

But when the blade was sprung up, and brought forth fruit, then appeared the tares also.KJRV — Matthew 13:26

So the servants of the householder came and said unto him, Sir, didst not thou sow good seed in thy field? from whence then hath it tares?KJRV — Matthew 13:27

He said unto them, An enemy hath done this. The servants said unto him, Wilt thou then that we go and gather them up?KJRV — Matthew 13:28

But he said, Nay; lest while ye gather up the tares, ye root up also the wheat with them.KJRV — Matthew 13:29

Let both grow together until the harvest: and in the time of harvest I will say to the reapers, Gather ye together first the tares, and bind them in bundles to burn (Isaiah 66:24; Malachi 3:3; Malachi 4:1; Matthew 3:12; Matthew 13:42; Mark 9:43; Mark 9:48) them: but gather (Matthew 3:12; Matthew 24:31; 2 Thessalonians 2:1) the wheat into my barn.KJRV — Matthew 13:30

Another parable put he forth unto them, saying, The kingdom of heaven is like to a grain of mustard seed, which a man took, and sowed in his field: Mark 4:30Mark 4:30, Luke 13:18Luke 13:18KJRV — Matthew 13:31

Which indeed is the least of all seeds: but when it is grown, it is the greatest among herbs, and becometh a tree, so that the birds of the air come and lodge in the branches thereof.KJRV — Matthew 13:32

Another parable spake he unto them; The kingdom of heaven is like unto leaven, which a woman took, and hid in three measures of meal, till the whole was leavened. Luke 13:20Luke 13:20KJRV — Matthew 13:33

All these things spake Jesus unto the multitude in parables; and without a parable spake he not unto them:KJRV — Matthew 13:34

That it might be fulfilled which was spoken by the prophet, saying, I will open (Psalms 78:2; Matthew 5:2) my mouth in parables; I will utter things which have been kept secret (Romans 16:25; Ephesians 3:9) from the foundation of the world.Psalms 78:2KJRV — Matthew 13:35

Then Jesus sent the multitude away, and went into the house: and his disciples came unto him, saying, Declare unto us the parable of the tares of the field.KJRV — Matthew 13:36

He answered and said unto them, He that soweth (Isaiah 61:1) the good seed is the Son of man;KJRV — Matthew 13:37

The field is the world; the good seed are the children of the kingdom; but the tares are the children (Genesis 3:15; John 8:44; Acts 13:10; 2 Peter 2:14; 1 John 3:10) of the wicked one; (Matthew 5:37; Matthew 6:13; Matthew 13:19; John 17:15; 2 Thessalonians 3:3; 1 John 2:13; 1 John 3:12; 1 John 5:18)KJRV — Matthew 13:38

The enemy that sowed them is the devil; the harvest (Joel 3:13; Revelation 14:15) is the end of the world; and the reapers are the angels.KJRV — Matthew 13:39

As therefore the tares are gathered and burned in the fire; (Matthew 25:41) so shall it be in the end of this world. KJRV — Matthew 13:40

The Son of man shall send forth his angels, (Matthew 24:31) and they shall gather out of his kingdom all things that offend, and them which do iniquity; (Matthew 5:20; Matthew 7:23)KJRV — Matthew 13:41

And shall cast (Revelation 19:20; Revelation 20:10) them into a furnace of fire: (Isaiah 66:24; Malachi 3:3; Malachi 4:1; Matthew 3:12; Matthew 13:30; Mark 9:43; Mark 9:48) there shall be wailing and gnashing of teeth.KJRV — Matthew 13:42

Then shall the righteous (Proverbs 4:18; Daniel 12:3) shine forth as the sun in the kingdom of their Father. Who hath ears (Matthew 11:15; Matthew 13:9; Mark 4:9; Mark 4:23; Mark 7:16; Luke 8:8; Revelation 2:7; Revelation 2:11; Revelation 2:17; Revelation 2:29; Revelation 3:6; Revelation 3:13; Revelation 3:22; Revelation 13:9) to hear, let him hear.KJRV — Matthew 13:43

Again, the kingdom of heaven is like unto treasure hid in a field; the which when a man hath found, he hideth, and for joy thereof goeth and selleth (Philippians 3:7) all that he hath, and buyeth (Isaiah 55:1; Matthew 25:9; Revelation 3:18) that field.KJRV — Matthew 13:44

Again, the kingdom of heaven is like unto a merchant man, seeking goodly pearls:KJRV — Matthew 13:45

Who, when he had found one pearl (Proverbs 2:4; Proverbs 3:14; Proverbs 8:10) of great price, went and sold all that he had, and bought it.KJRV — Matthew 13:46

Again, the kingdom of heaven is like unto a net, that was cast into the sea, and gathered (Matthew 22:10) of every kind:KJRV — Matthew 13:47

Which, when it was full, they drew to shore, and sat down, and gathered the good into vessels, but cast the bad away.KJRV — Matthew 13:48

So shall it be at the end of the world: the angels shall come forth, and sever (Ezekiel 20:38; Ezekiel 34:17; Matthew 25:32) the wicked from among the just,KJRV — Matthew 13:49

And shall cast them into the furnace of fire: there shall be wailing and gnashing of teeth.KJRV — Matthew 13:50

Jesus saith unto them, Have ye understood all these things? They say unto him, Yea, Lord.KJRV — Matthew 13:51

Then said he unto them, Therefore every scribe which is instructed unto the kingdom of heaven is like unto a man that is an householder, which bringeth forth out of his treasure things new and old. (Song of Solomon 7:13)KJRV — Matthew 13:52

And it came to pass, that when Jesus had finished these parables, he departed thence.KJRV — Matthew 13:53

And when he was come into his own country (Mark 6:1; Luke 4:16) , he taught them in their synagogue, insomuch that they were astonished, (Matthew 7:28; Matthew 22:33; Mark 1:22; Mark 6:2; Luke 4:32) and said, Whence hath this man this wisdom, and these mighty works?KJRV — Matthew 13:54

Is not (Isaiah 49:7; Isaiah 53:3; Mark 6:3; John 6:42) this the carpenter's son? is not his mother called Mary? and his brethren, (Matthew 12:46; Mark 3:31; Mark 6:3; Luke 8:19; John 2:12; John 7:3; John 7:5; Acts 1:14; 1 Corinthians 9:5; Galatians 1:19) James, and Joses, and Simon, and Judas?KJRV — Matthew 13:55

And his sisters, are they not all with us? Whence then hath this man all these things?KJRV — Matthew 13:56

And they were offended (Matthew 11:6; Matthew 24:10; Matthew 26:31; Mark 6:3; Mark 14:27; John 6:61) in him. But Jesus said unto them, A prophet (Luke 4:24; John 4:44) is not without honour, save in his own country, and in his own house.KJRV — Matthew 13:57

And he did not many mighty works there because of their unbelief. (Hebrews 3:19; Hebrews 4:2)KJRV — Matthew 13:58
