1. When Christ ascended, He gave gifts to His followers. What are those spiritual gifts?

Spiritual gifts are an endowment from Christ which are imparted to human beings by the Holy Spirit. The apostle Paul identifies the various gifts as follows: utterance of wisdom, utterance of knowledge, faith, healing, miracle working, prophecy (see Step No. 21, The Gift of Prophecy), ability to distinguish spirits, various kinds of tongues (languages), interpretation of tongues, service, teaching, encouraging, giving generously, leadership, showing mercy (Romans 12:8 NIV).
