Concerning this part of our subject, I am happy to believe we are perfectly agreed. How can we believe otherwise than in a personal descent? “The Lord himself shall descend,” “This same Jesus shall so come in like manner,” etc., “Every eye shall see him,” “We shall see him as he is.” These and the like passages prove clearly the manner of his coming, viz., that it is personal.MWV3 80.2
