There is naturally a business aspect to any organization, whether governmental, commercial, civic, or religious. There must be direction; there must be the keeping of accounts. All this calls for the leadership of those who have gifts along administrative and business lines.BSPC 162.5

One of the important things in church life is the selection of leaders for various positions of responsibility, whether in the local church, in the conference, or in the institution. When leaders with the essential qualifications, not only of leadership, but particularly of spiritual character, are chosen, it will mean much to the organization; it will mean all the difference between success and failure.BSPC 163.1
