Think about it—crops don’t stop growing just because it’s the Sabbath. Deadlines loom, the harvest won’t wait, and the pressure feels real. Yet God told His people to rest anyway—during the busiest seasons. Why? Because the same God who sends the rain, sun, and nutrients, also promises the right time for harvest. When you hand over your stress and deadlines to Him, your problems become His responsibility. Trusting God means believing He can provide more in six days than you could ever squeeze out of seven. And when you’re tempted to work extra hard during the week to make up for “Sabbath lost time,” don’t! Don’t stumble into Sabbath so exhausted you can’t enjoy God’s rest. He designed this divine date not as a burden, but as a blessing—and He’ll keep His promise to provide.CCW 101.2

David captured this perfectly: “My soul, wait quietly before God, for my hope is in Him.”^{[160]Psalms 62:5} We don’t “lose time” by observing the Sabbath; we gain perspective.
