Aromatherapy is a practice that uses concentrated plant extracts called essential oils to help support your well-being. These oils can be inhaled or applied to the skin, and they work by stimulating your sense of smell, which is directly linked to the part of your brain that controls emotions and memory. For example, the scent of lavender can help soothe your nerves, making it easier to unwind and let go of stress after a long day. CMH 25.2
When you use aromatherapy, you’re supporting your entire being: mind, body, and spirit. For your mind, the right scent can help you focus, feel more present, and manage feelings of anxiety. For your body, it can promote relaxation, which in turn can lead to better sleep and even ease muscle tension. And for your spirit, creating a simple ritual, like spraying a mist of lavender on your pillow, can help you feel more grounded and peaceful. This small act can create a moment of stillness where God’s voice can be heard more clearly.[27] https://www.healthline.com/health/what-is-aromatherapy CMH 25.3
