Counsel #12 — Trust brings peace CWe 14

Picture: Counsel #12 — Trust brings peace CWe 14.1

Uncertainty, anxiety, and fear seem to be on full display everywhere we turn. (Maybe even in your own heart!) But you can find peace above the storm by releasing control of your life to a God who cares. CWe 14.2

In a world that relentlessly emphasizes self-reliance and the pursuit of personal mastery, surrendering to a higher power can feel counterintuitive. However, this relinquishment is not a sign of weakness, but rather an acknowledgement that we do not possess all the answers and that God’s plans surpass our own. What a relief to find freedom from the burden of carrying the weight of the world on our shoulders! CWe 14.3

To trust in God is to have unwavering faith in His character and His promises. It means believing that He is good, loving, and faithful, even when circumstances suggest otherwise. This trust allows us to navigate life’s challenges with a sense of security, knowing that we are not alone. When faced with adversity, trust that God is working behind the scenes, orchestrating events for your ultimate good. This trust transforms fear into faith, anxiety into anticipation, and despair into hope.[13] https://ayp.me/blog/letting-god-lead-your-lifes-mission/ CWe 14.4

“Commit your way to the Lord, trust also in Him, and He shall bring it to pass.” Psalms 37:5 NKJV CWe 14.5

“Those who take Christ at His word, and surrender their souls to His keeping, their lives to His ordering, will find peace and quietude.... In perfect [submission] there is perfect rest.” Ellen White in Reflecting Christ, p. 278 CWe 14.6
