2. When the Old Testament references “God;” is it God the Father or God, the Son?

It is the same God who speaks and acts in both Testaments for the salvation of His people. What the New Testament says of Christ's role in Creation and during the Exodus suggests that the Old Testament often conveys to us its portrait of God the Father through the agency of the Son.
