Perhaps the most compelling example of God’s longing to be our Redeemer is the miraculous deliverance of the Israelites from the bondage of slavery in Egypt. This redemptive event illustrates the theme of Scripture — God’s desire to deliver us from the slavery of sin and redeem us forever from Satan’s stronghold.
