Relentless Faith — May 6 [Description]Passage Overview:In Matthew 15:21-28 and Mark 7:24-30, Jesus travels to the region of Tyre and Sidon, Gentile (non-Jewish) territories. A Canaanite (Syrophoenician) woman approaches Him in deep desperation—her daughter is possessed by a demon, and she begs Jesus for help.At first, Jesus appears to ignore her. When He finally responds, He explains that He was sent primarily to the lost sheep of Israel. He even says, “It’s not right to take the children’s bread and toss it to the dogs.” Rather than being offended, the woman humbly but boldly replies, “Even the dogs eat the crumbs that fall from their master’s table.”Moved by her relentless faith and humility, Jesus grants her request and heals her daughter instantly, even from afar.
