    It is declared that “all the gifts, offices, and blessings of the church were offered for sale.” The word “all” makes this a very broad statement.WWPGC 14.8

    Response: Criticism accepted. The word “all” was deleted making the 1911 edition read: “Of course money must be had; and to procure this, the gifts, offices, and blessings of the church were offered for sale.” An Appendix note was added referring to “Indulgences.”WWPGC 14.9
