    18 DEVELOPMENT OF ORDER

“THAT we henceforth be no more children, tossed to and fro, and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the sleight of men, and cunning craftiness, whereby they lie in wait to deceive; but speaking the truth in love, may grow up into him in all things, which is the head, even Christ: from whom the whole body fitly joined together and compacted by that which every joint supplieth, according to the effectual working in the measure of every part, maketh increase of the body unto the edifying of itself in love.” Ephesians 4:14-16.COOD 91.1

If the growth of the body of Christ-the church-is a growth in “all things,” then in that growth there will be seen a system of order such as is essential for the harmonious development of the church. It may be a matter of interest to note the introduction and practical working of the “order and system” which, in the providence of God, have aided in the successful rise of the third angel’s message. The following, from the pen of Mrs. E. G. White, found in “Christian Education,” published about 1894, states some interesting facts relative to church order:-COOD 91.2
