    “Thy God Cometh.”

Of this gathering, first and last, we read also in the fortieth of Isaiah. The preaching of the Gospel, including the forgiveness of sins, the giving of the Comforter, the Holy Ghost, the setting forth of God as the only power in the universe, the Creator and Preserver, and the announcement of the coming of the Lord in glory, is all found there. Then in the message. “Behold your God,” we read:—EVCO 513.5

“Behold, the Lord God will come with strong hand, and His arm shall rule for Him; behold, His reward is with Him (compare Revelation 22:12), and His work before Him. He shall feed His flock like a shepherd; He shall gather the lambs with His arm, and carry them in His bosom, and shall gently lead those that are with young.” 1Isaiah 11:10, 11.EVCO 514.1

We have before read about the gathering of the lost sheep of the house of Israel into one fold, so that there shall be “one fold and one Shepherd;” here we see that that gathering is begun by the preaching of the Gospel, and is completed only by the coming of the Lord in glory, with His angels; and further, that the power and glory of the coming of the Lord are identical with the power that must accompany the preaching of the Gospel.EVCO 514.2
