Q6. Has any human being seen God?

Picture: Q6. Has any human being seen God?JTLD 126.1

No mortal human being has seen God the Father (Exodus 33:20, John 1:18), and we know little of His physical features, except in this statement from Genesis 1:26: “Let Us make man in Our image, according to Our likeness.” However, we know God’s character as it’s revealedin Scripture. John 4:24 describes God as a Spirit, and 1 John 4:8 we learn that God is love. In 1 Timothy 1:17 the Bible describes God as an eternal King, immortal, invisible, wise, who’s glory will continue forever and ever. In Revelation 4:3, God is described as appearing like jasper and carnelian stones, with a rainbow around the throne resembling an emerald. Jesus’ says, “I and my Father are one” John 10:30. But christian believers can speak with confidence, as did Job, that one day “in my flesh I will see God” (Job 19:26).JTLD 126.2
