    Counsel #20 — Restoring God’s Image

    Picture: Counsel #20 — Restoring God’s ImageCI 22.1

When God first created Adam and Eve, they weren’t just physically perfect, but also morally perfect, spiritually connected to Him in a powerful way. They were covered with a robe of light, and their hearts, minds, and desires were completely in sync with His. There was no shame, no fear, and no brokenness. But when sin entered the world, everything changed. That light faded, they saw their own nakedness, and their connection with God was disrupted.CI 22.2

Thankfully, God didn’t give up on them, nor on us. From the very beginning, His plan has been to recreate what was lost. The best part about this is that He’s not waiting until we get to heaven to start rebuilding this vital connection. Even now, God’s working to bring our character back into alignment with His. Through Jesus, we can be forgiven, renewed, and over our lifetime transformed to reflect the love, purity, and purpose we were created for. While we wait for God’s return, His people will allow Him to renew their hearts and minds now. Don’t procrastinate — let God restore His image in you so you can be saved and spend eternity with Him.[21] https://adventistreview.org/focus/uplifted-restoring-gods-image/ CI 22.3
