    True and lasting peace begins in your heart. The quiet calm it brings isn’t found in worldly success, but in actively rejoicing in God’s faithfulness. When you cultivate an attitude that celebrates God’s goodness, the Holy Spirit gives you a profound peace that endures any difficulty.CMH 21.2

    Rejoicing and thankfulness are powerful antidotes to stress and worry. Instead of dwelling on what’s wrong, intentionally shift your focus to how God has been there for you. Counting your blessings calms your thoughts and replaces anxieties with a joyful trust. This mental tranquility has a positive impact on your physical well-being, releasing stressful burdens.CMH 21.3

    The greatest peace you’ll ever know can only be found in Jesus’ gift of salvation. Knowing He died so you can live with Him for eternity gives your spirit rest—you are loved and secure in His care. Continually rejoicing in this great gift brings a peace that will fill your mind, body, and spirit from the inside out.
