    Counsel #9 — Sabbath Rest

    Picture: Counsel #9 — Sabbath RestCMH 11.1

Sabbath rest is a beautiful gift, not just for worship, but for finding true peace. In our busy lives, the stress and pressure of the school or work week can be overwhelming. The Sabbath is a special day for us to stop, let go of our worries, and find rest for our mind, body, and spirit.[10] https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4jN0EVAjO0k&ab_channel=SandraEntermann-Topic CMH 11.2

God blessed this day and made it different from the other six days of labor. This rest is a reminder of His power in creation and an invitation to experience His peace. While we may feel that peace has been lost in the rush of life, the Sabbath points us to God’s peace that is restored through His love. By honoring this day, we can find a deep experience with Jesus that renews us for the week ahead.[11] https://youtu.be/9TtKBRT-098?si=LRIkT3zAoJ7u7o4p CMH 11.3

“The Sabbath points [us] to the works of creation as an evidence of His mighty power in redemption. While it calls to mind the lost peace of Eden, it tells of peace restored through the Saviour.” Ellen White in The Desire of Ages, p. 289CMH 11.5
