    Counsel #23 — Prayer

    Picture: Counsel #23 — PrayerCSL 122.1

One of the most beautiful things we can ask God for is peace, a real, deep calm in our hearts that stays with us even when life feels chaotic. The Bible says this kind of peace is a gift that God really wants to give us.[162]Philippians 4:6CSL 122.2

Life can get noisy and overwhelming sometimes. That’s why prayer is so important. When we choose to trust God and honestly open our hearts to Him, asking for His peace, something amazing happens. It’s not just us hoping things get better—it’s God stepping into our situation with His steady presence.CSL 122.3

This peace isn’t something we can create or buy. It’s a kind of inner strength that stays with us even when things are tough. It comes from knowing God is right there with us, that He loves us, and that nothing we face is too big for Him.CSL 122.4

Prayer isn’t about having perfect words—it’s about opening our hearts to God and receiving His incredible gift of peace that doesn’t make sense to the world but changes everything inside of us. It reminds us we’re not alone—we’re seen, known, and held by Him.[163] https://www.askanadventistfriend.com/ellen-g-white/what-does-ellen-g-white-say-about-prayer/# CSL 122.5

“The Lord will give strength to His people; the Lord will bless His people with peace.” Psalms 29:11 NKJVCSL 122.6
