    1Corinthians 10

    1 Now I do not want you to be ignorant, brothers, of the fact that all of our ancestors who left Egypt a10:1 The Gk. lacks who left Egypt were under the cloud. They all went through the sea,ISV — 1Corinthians 10:1

    13 No temptation has overtaken you that is unusual for human beings. But God is faithful, and he will not allow you to be tempted beyond your strength. Instead, along with the temptation he will also provide a way out, so that you may be able to endure it.ISV — 1Corinthians 10:13

    14 And so, my dear friends, keep on running away from idolatry.ISV — 1Corinthians 10:14

    15 I am talking to sensible people. Apply what I am saying to yourselves.ISV — 1Corinthians 10:15

    30 If I eat with thankfulness, why should I be denounced because of what I am thankful for?ISV — 1Corinthians 10:30

    31 Therefore, whether you eat or drink, or whatever you do, do everything for the glory of God.ISV — 1Corinthians 10:31
