Psalm 20

1 <For the Chief Musician. A Psalm by David. > May the LORD answer you in the day of trouble. May the name of the God of Jacob set you up on high.NHEB — Psalm 20:1

2 He will send you help from the sanctuary, and give you support from Zion.NHEB — Psalm 20:2

3 He will remember all your offerings, and accept your burnt sacrifice. Selah.NHEB — Psalm 20:3

4 He will grant you your heart's desire, and fulfill all your plans.NHEB — Psalm 20:4

5 We will triumph in your salvation. In the name of our God, we will set up our banners. May the LORD grant all your requests.NHEB — Psalm 20:5

6 Now I know that the LORD saves his anointed. He will answer him from his holy heaven, with a mighty act of deliverance by his right hand.NHEB — Psalm 20:6

7 Some [trust] in chariots, and some in horses, but we trust the name of the LORD our God.NHEB — Psalm 20:7

8 They are bowed down and fallen, but we rise up, and stand upright.NHEB — Psalm 20:8
