Psalm 118

1 Give thanks to the LORD, for he is good, for his loving kindness endures forever.NHEB — Psalm 118:1

3 Let the house of Aaron now say that his loving kindness endures forever.NHEB — Psalm 118:3

4 Now let those who fear the LORD say that his loving kindness endures forever.NHEB — Psalm 118:4

5 Out of my distress, I called on the LORD. The LORD answered me with freedom.NHEB — Psalm 118:5

6 The LORD is my helper; I will not fear. What can humans do to me?NHEB — Psalm 118:6

7 The LORD is my helper; and I will look in triumph on those who hate me.NHEB — Psalm 118:7

8 It is better to take refuge in the LORD, than to put confidence in man.NHEB — Psalm 118:8

9 It is better to take refuge in the LORD, than to put confidence in princes.NHEB — Psalm 118:9

10 All the nations surrounded me, but in the name of the LORD, I cut them off.NHEB — Psalm 118:10

11 They surrounded me, yes, they surrounded me. In the name of the LORD I indeed cut them off.NHEB — Psalm 118:11

12 They surrounded me like bees. They blazed like a fire among thorns. In the name of the LORD I cut them off.NHEB — Psalm 118:12

13 I was pushed hard, to make me fall, but the LORD helped me.NHEB — Psalm 118:13

14 The LORD is my strength and my song, and he has become my salvation.NHEB — Psalm 118:14

15 The voice of rejoicing and salvation is in the tents of the righteous. "The right hand of the LORD does valiantly.NHEB — Psalm 118:15

16 The right hand of the LORD is exalted. The right hand of the LORD does valiantly."NHEB — Psalm 118:16

17 I will not die, but live, and declare the works of the LORD.NHEB — Psalm 118:17

18 The LORD has punished me severely, but he has not given me over to death.NHEB — Psalm 118:18

19 Open to me the gates of righteousness. I will enter into them and praise the LORD.NHEB — Psalm 118:19

20 This is the gate of the LORD; the righteous will enter into it.NHEB — Psalm 118:20

21 I will give thanks to you, for you have answered me, and have become my salvation.NHEB — Psalm 118:21

22 The stone which the builders rejected has become the cornerstone.NHEB — Psalm 118:22
