Psalm 149

1 Praise the LORD. Sing to the LORD a new song, his praise in the assembly of the faithful ones.NHEB — Psalm 149:1

2 Let Israel rejoice in him who made them. Let the people of Zion be joyful in their King.NHEB — Psalm 149:2

3 Let them praise his name in the dance. Let them sing praises to him with tambourine and harp.NHEB — Psalm 149:3

4 For the LORD takes pleasure in his people. He crowns the humble with salvation.NHEB — Psalm 149:4

5 Let the faithful ones rejoice in glory. Let them sing for joy on their beds.NHEB — Psalm 149:5

6 May the high praises of God be in their mouths, and a two-edged sword in their hand;NHEB — Psalm 149:6

7 To execute vengeance on the nations, and punishments on the peoples;NHEB — Psalm 149:7

8 To bind their kings with chains, and their nobles with fetters of iron;NHEB — Psalm 149:8

9 to execute on them the written judgment. All his faithful ones have this honor. Praise the LORD.NHEB — Psalm 149:9
