    Counsel #22 — It’s a Lifestyle

    Picture: Counsel #22 — It’s a LifestyleCWe 140.1

Eating healthy isn’t about following a strict diet for a few weeks and then returning to old habits — it’s about making sustainable changes that promote long-term well-being.CWe 140.2

When it comes to eating better, the focus should not be on getting through a certain diet or what you can’t eat for a temporary period, but on changing your lifestyle entirely to adopt healthy alternatives. The first step to changing bad eating habits is making up your mind. That’s right — you have to be truly tired of having low energy, physical pains, or not seeing results in your weight. Once you reach that point, start making small, consistent changes each day. For example, if you struggle with drinking soda for each meal, make a short-term goal to have only one soda a day and drink water for every other meal. As time progresses, your taste buds will start to desire more water, and eventually, soda will taste too sweet to you. God will help you make lasting changes on your journey, so pray for His guidance and strength as you create a foundation for lifelong health.[176] https://adventist.news/news/study-links-adventist-lifestyle-with-longevity CWe 140.3
